This is my first time reading Mr. Storm's novels, and I was not disappointed. This book is written in such a mesmerizing way that it sucked me right in. It all seemed so real that when I took a nap, after reading some of the book, that I actually dreamed about it. Then when I finished the book last night, I actually dreamed about the next book of the series. I guess I'll have to read the next book to see if my dream is right on or not.I know that back in the 80s and 90s when I was learning to program, I would often have a bug in the code and when I slept I would dream about it. In the dream I would see what I needed to do to correct the code and it was always right on. So, as far as the book, it remains to be seen.I truly enjoyed this book.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters are complex, they have history that is interesting in the way it plays into the conflicts between some of them. I found only one fault with the book. Mr. Stone, Naples is on the west coast of Florida, so there was no way Storm could have watched the sun sink into the Atlantic from there. It would have set over the Gulf, given that it rises over the Atlantic in the east, and sets in the west which would be over the gulf. Other than that one minor gaff, it was an excellent read.
I enjoyed this book.The storyline and characters are intriguing,and it moves along quickly. I also liked reading a "Florida" story that wasn't all about drugs and drug running.It also doesn't hurt that this book took me to a warm climate when it it -2 degrees here.
I liked the Naples local setting and characters. However, the author seems to repeat and repeat the protagonist and basic story line between books 1 and 2. It needs a few more local characters and locale / aquatic story lines. Enough with the brother, already!
Pretty sure we would read a sequel or second book. A little surprised by spelling and grammatical errors - teachers can't help but notice!Hope to see some of the same characters again
I've never seen so many spelling and punctuation mistakes in a book in my life. That was bad enough, but when the sun set on the "other side of the state in the Atlantic" that was completely absurd. Add to that an arrogant, self-absorbed, headstrong hero, and you have one lousy book.
Good storyline. Pity about the errors the editors missed. Nevertheless, it's a good read and one I recommend. Yes, I will move to the second in the series based on this novel.
Well written story moved along smoothly. Characters were true to life.
