A Puritan classic, which is the best selling Christian book after the Bible,The Pilgrim's Progress used to be required reading for Evangelicals, but nowadays only about 10 percent of all Evangelicals will read this book. The book is based on the slow process of the conversion experience of John Bunyan in 17th Century England, where the Anglican Church clashed with the Non-Conformists. John Bunyan spent several years in prison, where he wrote both parts of the Pilgrim's Progress. This edition includes a commentary which Evangelical Christians may find very edifying.This "Collector's Edition" includes other major writings by John Bunyan, including The Holy War, which like the Pilgrim's Progress is an allegorical story, and Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners, which is Bunyan's personal conversion story, plus his Last Sermon, and several other works.As a student of Comparative Religion, The Pilgrim's Progress is one of my favorite books. I couldn't resist this edition because of the commentary and the inclusion of the other works by Bunyan.I would invite non-Evangelical Christians and Sunni and Shia Muslims to give Pilgrim's Progress a reading, perhaps in a less expensive edition, to see how a Puritan Evangelical Christian saw the World in 17th Century Britain when Evangelicals had few freedoms and were the persecuted people.

This must be a very close facsimile of the 1876 published book, I am sure. Included are footnotes, commentary, and Scripture references missing in the small paperback edition of Pilgrims Progress I read in the past. Those extra features add depth to the story and make it into a devotional book, as well as a novel. So far, I am finding it to be very inspirational!This edition also includes other works by John Bunyan I was unaware of. It is definitely a valuable collection of his inspirational writings and stories.But I can tell that the paper and binding are of somewhat lower quality, so it's important to handle this book carefully so as to prevent page tearing and collapsing the binding. But the quality of printing and the colored illustrations are superb.The only thing that I dislike is the very large print, and consequently, very large size of this book. It's a tome of about the same size as Webster's 1828 American Dictionary of the English Language. I actually have to hold the book quite a distance away because of the largeness of the font! It looks about like 24 point Times New Roman! I would prefer smaller print, and a smaller book. But other than this very small criticism, I highly recommend it.

I read this book every year as I see in the story my own life as I strive to be faithful in my Christian walk. This Kindle copy make it much easier to read as I could catch spare time to read when I wouldn't have a hard copy handy. To point out the impact this work has had, in the Christian world this is the second most read work, second only to the Bible. Every believer should read it at least once. I read yearly as this keeps me humble and aware of the world in which I walk through daily.

This is a big, large print copy of an earlier large print edition. It is like a replica edition. It has editor's notes at the bottom of most pages pointing to passages where Bunyan's ideas come from in Scripture. It not only has the Pilgrim's Progress, but also The Holy War, which takes about half of this big book. It also has a lengthy section called Bunyan's Memoirs. I am reading it aloud in the evenings with my kids. We are able to think about the importance of our walk with Christ in valuable ways. There is a reason that this book has sold so many copies over the years...

Perhaps it was meant to be that I not read this until I neared senior citizenry. All I can say is that I'm grateful a friend urged me to read it now. The only thing is that because it is written in old English little children might not understand everything, actually some adults might not ether, but if you want to give them more knowledge and understanding you can look up the words and explain it to the little ones.

Very informative. Needed to use this book for a art history project and it worked out perfect. There is a lot of information, great pictures, and it looks nice on the coffee table! Super happy with the quality and the condition it was in when I received it. Well worth the price especially if you are looking into learning more about the Eameses.

Pretty book, I leave it on the coffee table next to my Eames chair. It is somewhat humorous that in 2005, the chair was sold by Herman-Miller for $3000 (per the book) but is now $6000 and up!

Really enjoyed this well written and accessible book. A great primer to learn about the substantial impact this couple had on the American design landscape. Interesting cross section of their projects that appear all over even modern American life.

Some bio detail and a nice overview of their life and designs organized chronologically. Book is semi-hard lol cover and of magazine dimensions with more heft. Solid purchase.

very nice book for patterns and shapes however I would have liked it printed on better paper. i have attached photos of finished coloring.

I ordered this because I had already ordered Volume One and thought, why not? I'm so glad I did, as this book has the same great quality pages and patterns as the other. There are lots of different kinds of patterns from simple ones to more complicated ones, printed on one side only, with a color test page at the beginning. I really appreciate that the patterns never include pieces so small that they're difficult to see or color. These books are perfect for colored pencil, gel pen, or marker, but may not be great for people who like to color with crayons (some of the sections are small enough that a crayon's wide tip could be a problem, but not so small that pencils/pens can't get in there). Overall, a great buy.

This is a great coloring book, I use it all the time. Coloring tip: If you want to work the pages over more than once, print out the pages and color your copies so you can reuse the book again and again.

If you are into doing patterns with color when you do your adult coloring books, this is a great choice! I really enjoy mine :)

I have a linear type of mind and I love doing colorbooks, this one is my favorite, if you like geometric structure then you will like this book.

By far my favorite coloring book! I use pencils, pens and markers. Love the patterns. It’s probably the only coloring book I own that I will use every page (and I have a lot of books!)

Adam Gamble, is a writer, a photographer, and a publisher. He is the author of many books in the Good Night Books series, In the Footsteps of Thoreau, and A Public Betrayed. He lives in Sandwich, MA. I love these Good Night series. I like purchasing this for the cities that we've either lived in our visited. It's great when we read through an area that they have visited. Their reaction is always - "I've been there, mommy!". It's a nice way to go through through our vacation.

I used a ballpoint pens clicker and applied pressure to the spot and it was a revelation as the pain simply switched off.The oriental approach to medicine is that the body pretty well heals itself if it can be made aware of the problem, we think we can heal the body with medicines that point out what needs to be done, the Chinese have a huge pharmacopia of wild plants , but the aaproach to waking the bodies healing is My own revelation happened in 1979 and ive used it ever since to stop joint pain and discomfort, its still not widely accepted in our "enlightened" culture but should be. the brief coverage in Barefoot is simply eclipsed by this manual. its better organized has a clear concept and ability to specialize in it treatment, Auricular Accupuncture is actually accu pressure -its non invasive, not painful and should be in everyones prepper hoard.Auriculotherapy Manual: Chinese and Western...is well worth the expense , its a great teaching tool that expands the uses of the totally non invasive therapy. My wife is a Wholistic Wellness Practitioner and this is one of her favorite books. I hesitated when I saw the price, but got it for her anyway. (After all, a happy wife is a happy life.) and I am very glad I did. She uses it constantly. It is thorough, complete, easy to understand and use, and has both the European and Oriental systems (points and also meridians). It came with a great chart. Highly recommended for anyone who is more than just a dabbler.

This is a fabulous book. I don't know of any other source for auriculotherapy acupuncture that is so accurate and so detailed. Not only does it provide spot-on locations for ear points, but it teaches the learner how to properly locate points in the ear. It is also FILLED with wonderful point prescriptions that go far and beyond any other source I have ever seen. For my patients who are afraid of body acupuncture, I will sometimes use this book instead.Since ear acupuncture is so directly related to cerebral activity, if a patient presents a symptoms that I know the neurological connection to, I will often refer to this book to locate the area of the brain that correlates. It's often a pleasant surprise how effectively this works. If I ever lost this book, I'd replace it immediately.

This is a fantastic textbook, with fascinating introductory sections, many useful graphics explaining different acupressure microsystems (not just of the ear), and lots and lots of ear charts related to many different ailments for quick lookup. I'm very glad I own this, know I will be referring to it often.
