It's a great way to learn, especially for the short attention span (Oh yeah, I was typing a review). With Book 2 it's probably best to have some understanding of the banjo and basic rolls before attempting to dive into this book. It comes with a CD to hear the examples and tab instead of staff music. Gets you playing up the neck and in various keys so you're not just stuck in one position and in the key of G. I highly recommend this for anyone trying their luck learning banjo. My wife even got hooked on it.

Ok that was a corny title. We enjoy this book and its colorful illustrations. Both my three and –almost five- year olds really like it. It can be a good start to a conversation about space and planets. It is fun to read out loud and then go get other library books on the topic. In the tradition of other Dr. Seuss books it rhymes.The book is updated to have a sad reminder that Pluto is no longer in the line up and we end our naming game with Neptune. And to make it even better it is a level 2 reader and slowly but surely after several readings my son is starting to feel comfortable reading a few pages when he is in the mood. I expect that after many readings the kids will learn to name the planets without noticing. What a great addition to our kid library!

I like the book in the print version, but I was trying to encourage first graders to read Early Readers. The screens (see my pictures) were not visually engaging. They could read the words, but I know I didn't really tempt them to race to the Early Reader shelf with what they saw here!

6 yr old daughter says, "A little dull." She thinks it is better for kindergarten. She liked the topic (planets) but disliked the rhymes because they used the same words too often.

Bought for my 6 year old who was having a hard time reading. I have found these particular level 2 reader books (Step Into Reading) much easier for him to read (and sound out the words). Added bonus was that we learned a few things about each of the planets. Beautiful pictures. Fun read! How can you go wrong with a Cat in The Hat Knows A Lot About That book?!

This is an awesome book. Our toddler know all the planets now!

My daughter loves this book but as a child of the 90's I struggled not having Pluto listed! Even without the dwarf planet listed this is a fantastic and entertaining read.

Fantastic. Not too big - fits on the back of any door. Ample writing space for multiple entries. Pockets super handy for invites, Bill's, etc. Bought as Christmas as gifts one year. Skipped a year and family was so disappointed!A tradition was born... just wish a few more styles were offered.

I have purchased this calendar in the past and it itself is a great product. My only complaint is delivery. When I placed my order from the beginning of January, I knew it wasn't going to be delivered until mid-February (I was willing to be patient since I really liked this calendar and I know that living in Hawaii, deliveries can be lengthy). Then I received notice that delivery was further delayed to sometime mid-March, which I felt was unacceptable. Up to 3 months would've passed before I received this calendar for a 'full price' calendar is ridiculous.

I order these calendars every year for past 7 years. They never disappoint
