I love this book! I have read it over and over and I even have marked my favorite passages. Being a mom and a dentist is hard but this book really has great advice and really puts a lot of things into perspective. Definitely looking forward to Dr. Yum’s next book! ❤️

I rarely write a bad review. I prefer to review those items I buy that meet or exceed my expectations but this cookbook had enough flaws, I felt the need to warn people against it.Let me admit up front I have yet to cook any of the recipes and some of them look quite promising, but just browsing through the book, I saw several errors or typos regarding the number of servings indicated and a lack of adherence to the principals of the ketogenic diet. This left me with great mistrust as to the general accuracy of the book.Example 1: The recipe for Kale and Sausage Soup lists a first ingredient of 2 pounds of smoked sausage, but indicates this is two servings. (Another recipe, for BBQ Sausage, uses 2 pounds of kielbasa sausage and serves 10.) Example 2: Cajun Pork Stew also serves two people, and lists a pound of pork butt. Example 3: The recipe for Sweet Carrot Mash is supposed to be enough for six people, but only uses 1½ carrots, 2 drops of stevia and 1 tablespoon of butter. Example 4: Vietnamese Beef Stew uses one pound of stew meat, and again, lists two servings.According to my own research, a ketogenic diet is high in fat, with moderate protein and minimal carbs. I have seen a suggestion of 5% carbs, 15% protein and 80% fats, and although these are flexible, the amount of fat should always be greater than that of protein, and the amount of protein greater than that of carbs.If accurate, many of the listed macros for the recipes in this “Keto Cookbook” completely ignore these proportions. Example 1: Mushroom & Cauliflower Soup, 2 grams of fat, 6 grams carbs and 18 grams of protein. Example 2: Cajun Variety Jambalaya, 9 grams of fat, 15 grams of carbs and 32 grams of protein. Example 3: Spaghetti Squash & Marinara Chicken, 6 grams of fat, 9 grams of carbs and 10 grams of protein. Example 4: Sea Scallops in Teriyaki Sauce, 6 grams of fat, 26 grams of carbs and 25 grams of protein. Some of the recipes look okay, but there is nothing ketogenic about these examples.I have been so happy with Urvashi Pitre's book, “The Keto Instant Pot Cookbook,” and was hoping to expand my library. I was very disappointed.

I’ve been interested in learning more about in the keto diet since it has started blowing up and everyone knows someone who’s on it and loves it. The recipes look good, although I still feel that I would need to do some more research based on other reviews that not all of them are completely keto-friendly. With school starting back up I’m looking for some quick dinner ideas and will definitely be incorporating these into our weekly menu!

I received this book as a Christmas present and was really excited about it...until I started reading it. This book feels like it was rushed and that the author doesn't really understand the concept of a ketogenic diet, nor the calculation of macros. Several recipes call for sugar as an example, so the attempt wasn't even made to modify the recipe to call for a keto friendly sweetener. Recipe instructions are very simplistic and I observed lots of bad advice as far as using the Instant Pot with certain ingredients as well. I will use the book for recipe ideas but I will have to modify recipes and recalculate macros for better accuracy.

I really like the cover and the pages are like my bible, very thin. I am very new to using a lectionary of any kind of lectionary so I have a question for anyone that can answer. The lectionary in this seems to differ to the online lectionary that I have looked at. I'm not sure if it is an editing error or what but I am very happy with everything else. If there is an editing issue I will have to return but I will have to wait until I confirm. I am adding some photos to aid your own decision in purchasing this item.

I am certain that the look and feel of a prayer book should not be of primary importance, but I do love the buttery feel and flexibility of the vivella cover. Green is not only my favorite color, but is symbolic to me also. I like the size, small but not too small. I like the weight. I just like holding this book. I will agree that the pages are a strange color. If they were gilded, the book would be perfection, but then its beauty might be distracting from its content and purpose. (I am not commenting on content, because to do so would be arrogant if not blasphemous, and I assume buyers will be familiar with the beautifully written, moving and helpful content.)

It has Morning, Noon, and Evening prayers as well as the Apostle's Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Decalogue, Traditional and Modern 'Collects' for all Sundays, plus Rite I and Rite II Orders for Worship. The 1979 Book of Common Prayer is the last version before the lamentable decision to 'Gender-Neutralize' the Beautiful Liturgical Language. Buy the 1979 BCP Today.

The photo of the product is not exactly what I received. I still like the volume, but just an FYI. The size is fine. It is a bit stiff, and it won't lay flat unless you are exactly in the center of the book, which is rare since I use it for the morning and evening offices which are at the front of the book. Size of font is fine for young eyes.

The green cover is unique and beautiful. The pages are good quality and I expect to use it for a lifetime.

This edition or format for the Book of Common Prayer is nicely produced, and would make a nice presentation gift. I bought it for its compactness and soft but not paperback cover, but not as a gift.As it happens, I returned it when I realized that the size and shape was not going to work for my purposes (to take on trips and maybe keep in car-- I'm an Episcopal priest). I was shocked to learn upon returning it that Amazon deducted a 50%-- yes, that's right, 1/2-- "restocking fee" from my refund-- in addition to a $3.99 charge postage. I do not recall seeing a prior indication of that restocking fee anywhere. To be fair, I might have missed it: but I have up till now trusted Amazon as a retailer with reasonable policies and practices.No more trust, Amazon. This fee is completely unconscionable.UPDATEYes, I did try to look up information about restocking. No, there was no readily discoverable information. In addition, he has been actively involved in consulting in the OM and MIS areas for a variety of organizations, including Philip Morris, Firestone, Dixie Container Corporation, Columbia Industries, and Tenneco. He holds the CPIM certification from APICS–the Association for Operations Management.   Professor Heizer has co-authored 5 books and has published more than 30 articles on a variety of management topics. Operations Management: Sustainability and Supply Chain ManagementSeller is great, amazon delivery (i purchased electronic-kindle as well as print edition) is great. but the 12th edition is sneaky in the fact that many question that were from previous 11th edition have been moved to publisher's "myomlab" which needs separate purchase over and above the cost of purchase of the book. such questions are not even listed at the end of the chapter problems, instead it simply reads "qxyz to qabc are available in myomlab". publisher claims that many new questions were added. fine, but many questions that were representative of the concepts presented in the various chapters are now missing from end of the chapter problems, especially the ones that were good to practice in class with students (essentially moved myomlab, so people will be forced to buy the textbook and myomlab).its like arm twisting to having purchase myomlab, something that is absolutely unnecessary given the fact that the university already uses learning management system such as blackboard/moodle/ilearn etc. myomlab is not even like cengage or aplia, its archaic, so having students to pay for the cost of textbook and myomlab is just not justified, especially when the students i teach are mostly full time working students, and first generation college attendees.cheap tactical decision from publisher, in my opinion that reduces the value of the textbook. i would have stuck to the previous edition (11th) but they stopped selling/publishing it anymore. I teach operations management for 3 years students in college of business. the material in teh textbook is good, easy to understand with sufficient examples. the textbook provides good balance of stories,examples and quantitative content.

So far it is a great format! Easily go between desktop and tablet. Really like the highlighting and note taking ability with this 'not normal Kindle' format.Only downside so far is that apparently the book has some 'overlays' in it that did not transition to this format (pg 168). Basically only got the page, without the overlay sheets (books states there are four). This is a big gap in the example data.

There was no access card with my book. I unwrapped it and class started yesterday so I cannot return.

Working on a Logistics degree. Arrived on time. Good quality. Good price, cheapest I found it anywhere.

It explained some concepts well but some not so much. It was a good choice for my class and overall it was a good text.

Easy to rent, came in good condition.

Okay first. I love the adventure.Holy sh*t, the adventure.Next, I love the HUGE character developments. And I can’t say more about that without my will power crumbling down- sooo I’ll stop there before I start screaming out pure smoldering spoilers.But. Please. Please. Know that the feels were oh so very real.I also need to mention how well this book builds up the feeling of urgency. That’s not easy to do, and I have to acknowledge the fact that this writer had me right under their thumb. (I can’t tell you how many times I had to force myself to slow down,)And now of course I have to mention the FEELS once more because.Ugghhhhhhhhhh.Sh*t got real.Lastly but most importantly I need to hail glory to the love story. Because yes. That’s really what we all came for, isn’t it?I would proudly be the first to point out that this series is going to be up there, nestled right in between The Clockwork Angel Series by C.C. and Carry On by R.R. because honestly, if those books were to get together and adopt a child- it would be The Timekeeper Trilogy. I know hands down this book will eventually get a movie.Now the only warning I’d have to give- is that this book is unbelievably addictive, (I ended up reading it in one go) and one of the last chapters had a line or two that made me, (a self proclaimed cheesy-romance-book-lover,) roll her eyes. And the feels got waaay real.In conclusion: Every second I spent reading this and the last book over and over was soooo absolutely worth it and I will enjoy every dark crevice of my agony whilst I await the next book.

The book is set a few months after Timekeeper and we see Danny (our main character) settled in with his life, living happily with his clock-spirit boyfriend and trying to mend his bond with his parents.Sadly, we need conflict to have a book so things happens.Clock towers are attacked in India but time hasn’t stopped as it’s supposed to.Obviously, because he is a hero and he can’t catch a break, our boy is sent here along with his fellow clock mechanic Daphne, who is part Indian.The story is captivating and the writing will make you fly through the book.Also, I’m in love with the cover

This is the second in a series and it is an amazing follow upto the first novel. I laughed, I cried, I yelled. Normaly, I dont deal well with cliff hangers (and honestly this no different), but the hanging ending really works! It leaves me wanting more and I love it!

This is an amazing book/series. Bottom line is simple, pick this series up, read it, and share it. An amazing original story that I didn’t know I needed until I read the first book, Timekeeper. Chainbreaker didn’t let up until I finished the book and now I sit here waiting on the third book. Again, I must say, pick up this series and spread the love!

This book will give you feels. Lots of them, in all forms. It's fantastic and exciting and you won't want to put it down!

This is the second book of an amazing trilogy. The way the author writes a new world of myths and mix it with steam pink is beautiful. The characters are amazing too, I personally can't help to fall in love with Colton and Daphne.All the fantasy in those books is so cool and well made. I can't wait to read the next one.

Also, the last scroll about prayer was needed, even though it is essentially a repeat of the tenth scroll in the first book. I am very glad that this author puts so much emphasis on prayer.Aside from repetition, the only thing I didn't like about this book is that the scrolls are treated so majestically, being just a hair under Biblical scripture itself - almost as if to suggest that the ingredients necessary for any kind of success are both the Word of God AND ten extra scrolls. I'm not so sure Paul would agree. The scrolls are helpful for success, but not necessary.But yeah, I have to agree. Sitting around and waiting for opportunity to come to you is really the worst thing you can do.

I've read this book many, many times, and the Twelve Scrolls are worth the price alone. Og Mandino appeared at a convention I was attending some years ago. He told the story of his life, and most of us will never experience what he did--thank goodness.The very first time of reading it, my eyes were wet at the end. It affected me that much. And I was reading it on the beach at the time. Couldn't put it down. His sequel, Part 2, is on my Kindle now. It reads every bit as well and as meaningfully.

I am actually going to go back through this book and write the main message of each of his scrolls. I am new to this author but will be reading much much more of him. This is the second book of his that I read. I loved this one as much as the first one i read!!!

I was yearning for a spectacle like it's predecessor The Greatest Salesman in the World as I reached one fifth of the book I thought I would be disappointed but I wasn't this is indeed a fitting end to the story, great words to live by and a great addition to my collection.

Og Mandino book great with redeeming social value to all readers.I would recommend reading this and other Og Mandino books.

One of the most inspiring books I have ever read. The principles taught in this book will change the life of anyone who applies them. I recommend everyone who desires a better life read it.

Mr. Mandino's "Greatest Salesman" parts 1 & 2 are concise, well-written & provide the reader with invaluable lessons of a lifetime. His characters possess such humility & such empathy-it is impossible not to want to believe them! I enjoyed these two stories immensely and as a result my goal is now to read all of his works!!
